The senior management team structure is designed on a functional team basis and features results-oriented objectives at all management levels.
JOE CARUSO
PRESIDENT Joe Caruso oversees the strategic direction of the Giampaolo Group of Companies and is responsible for managing the organization's vision for future growth. His professional accounting designation complemented by several years at the executive management level has equipped Mr. Caruso for the challenges ahead. Joe has worked for the Group for over 23 years and continues to lead the professional management and strategic direction of the organization. Prior to joining Triple M Metal LP, he held a senior finance position with a global consumer goods company. Joe's leadership over the years has been instrumental in contributing to Triple M Metal LP's outstanding performance and growth. Joe continues to be involved in all of the various entities of the Giampaolo Group of Companies where he provides guidance and leadership to the organization's executives and shareholders. Over the last few years Mr. Caruso has overseen the significant growth of the Group through acquisitions and organic growth. Joe has direct responsibility for the following significant divisions within the Giampaolo Group: Triple M Metal LP, Canada's largest scrap metal recycler and processor with locations in Canada, the U.S and Mexico; Matalco Inc, a manufacturer of high quality aluminum billets for use in the extrusion industry with plants in Canada and the U.S; Venture Steel Inc and subsidiary Gatsteel Service Centre Inc which provide custom steel slitting services for the automotive and other manufacturing businesses; Global Electric Electronic Processing Inc (GEEP), a group of companies involved in electronic waste recycling and asset management with locations in Canada, the U.S, Central America, Mexico and Europe; Giampaolo Investments Limited, which is involved in real estate investing, land development, home building, industrial & commercial construction and golf operations.
LIONEL PERSAUD, FCCA, CGA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICERLionel Persaud is responsible for all aspects of the Accounting & Finance function as well as Treasury, Information Technology and Insurance. He is also responsible for the organization's real estate development and golf operations. His professional accounting designations combined with several years of experience in senior finance and accounting positions with major corporations has provided the foundation for his senior management role at Triple M Metal. Since joining Triple M Metal in 2000 Lionel has initiated major improvements in the policies, procedures, internal controls, reporting and information systems of Triple M Metal LP and The Giampaolo Group of Companies. He has also overseen the successful integration of several business units which have been acquired over the years as well as the integration of new locations which are added to the Group on an ongoing basis through organic growth.
OSCAR MONIZ
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICEROscar Moniz is responsible for operations across all facilities within Triple M Metal. Prior to joining the Triple M Metal management team, Oscar was an entrepreneur and owner of his own successful business for 15 years. He also has 13 years of operations and sales experience with a large industrial manufacturing company. Oscar's wide range of experience and business acumen has equipped him to excel in the Triple M Metal environment and culture. He is responsible for having built a strong and efficient operations base across the company through teamwork and a commitment to a strong work ethic.
TOM ANDERSON, P.Eng
VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING & MILL SERVICESTom Anderson is responsible for the company's mill services division and mill by-product processing, in addition to responsibilities for all major engineering projects. Tom joined the Triple M Metal management team at the time of its merger with Poscor in 2008. At Poscor, Tom held the position of Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Poscor, Tom worked in the utility industry since 1981 in engineering, operations, management information systems, and administration roles. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering degree from Queen's University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
LARRY ROSE
VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES AND QUALITY ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY
Larry Rose is responsible for the Human Resources, Quality, Environmental, & Safety functions of Triple M Metal LP. Larry joined Triple M Metal in 2008 as a result of the merger of Poscor Mill Services and Triple M Metal. Larry has extensive North American and International experience in the metal recycling, waste management and industrial services sectors.
MICHAEL HLACAR
VICE PRESIDENT FERROUS SALES AND PURCHASINGMichael Hlacar is responsible for the ferrous trading activity at Triple M Metal LP. Prior to joining Triple M, Michael worked for 15 years in the Steel Industry holding various operational and senior commercial roles.
MICHAEL BARICHELLO, CA, CBV
VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCEMichael is responsible for many aspects of the Accounting, Finance, Treasury and Corporate Development functions at Triple M. Michael held the VP Finance role at Poscor at the time of its merger with Triple M. Prior to Poscor, Michael held senior level positions in the metals recycling industry with public company Philip Services and prior to that was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Finance group at KPMG. Michael is a Chartered Accountant (Ontario) and a Chartered Business Valuator.
MICHEL POULIN
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT COMMERCIALMichel Poulin is responsible for all aspects of market developments as well as purchasing and sales of Non-ferrous materials for Triple M Metal. Michel has been in the scrap metal recycling industry for over 30 years prior to joining the company in 2009.
