Joe Caruso oversees the strategic direction of Triple M Metal LP and the Giampaolo Group of Companies and is responsible for managing the organization's vision for future growth. His professional accounting designation complemented by several years at the executive management level has equipped Mr. Caruso for the challenges ahead. Joe's leadership over the years has been instrumental in contributing to Triple M Metal LP's outstanding performance and growth. Joe continues to be involved in all of the various entities of the Giampaolo Group of Companies where he provides guidance and leadership to the organization's executives and shareholders. Over the last few years Mr. Caruso has overseen the significant growth of the Group through acquisitions and organic growth.
Oscar Moniz is responsible for operations across all facilities within Triple M Metal. Prior to joining the Triple M Metal management team, Oscar was an entrepreneur and owner of his own successful business for 15 years. He also has 13 years of operations and sales experience with a large industrial manufacturing company. Oscar's wide range of experience and business acumen has equipped him to excel in the Triple M Metal environment and culture. He is responsible for having built a strong and efficient operations base across the company through teamwork and a commitment to a strong work ethic.
Tom Anderson is responsible for the company's mill services division and mill by-product processing, in addition to responsibilities for all major engineering projects. Tom joined the Triple M Metal management team at the time of its merger with Poscor in 2008. At Poscor, Tom held the position of Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Poscor, Tom worked in the utility industry since 1981 in engineering, operations, management information systems, and administration roles. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering degree from Queen's University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
Mark Chiarelli is responsible for all aspects of human resources and provides leadership in the development and implementation of sound people management practices, human resources strategy, labour relations, performance management, recruitment, compensation and organizational effectiveness.
Mark brings over 25 years of experience in the human resources field. Prior to joining Triple M Metal LP in 2016, he held various senior roles with major Canadian organizations in industries ranging from consumer packaged goods to retail and manufacturing.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto and has his Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation with the Human Resources Professionals Association.
Mark is a member of the Triple M Metal LP's Executive Management team.
Michael Hlacar is responsible for the ferrous trading activity at Triple M Metal LP. Prior to joining Triple M, Michael worked for 15 years in the Steel Industry holding various operational and senior commercial roles.
Michael is responsible for many aspects of the Accounting, Finance, Treasury and Corporate Development functions at Triple M. Michael held the VP Finance role at Poscor at the time of its merger with Triple M. Prior to Poscor, Michael held senior level positions in the metals recycling industry with public company Philip Services and prior to that was a Senior Manager in the Corporate Finance group at KPMG. Michael is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
Mike Commisso is responsible for the Non Ferrous Trading activity at Triple M Metal LP. Mike earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. He has grown up with the company, moving up from the scrap yard to the executive team. Mike serves on the Young Traders board for the Bureau of International Recycling. He is passionate about scrap trading and focused on growing the Non Ferrous business for Triple M Metal LP.
Steve Leddy is responsible for Mill Services & by-product trading, as well as ferrous scrap sales. Steve entered the steel industry in 1995 upon graduating from the University of Waterloo. After much success in senior sales and marketing positions at leading North American steel mills, he made the transition to the scrap metal industry in 2004. Steve has well-rounded experience in scrap operations, marketing and trading. As a member of the executive team, Steve's objective is to strategically increase Triple M Metal's footprint across the North American steel market.
Ron's experience in steelmaking, melting and supply chain management is invaluable in his role as Vice President, Ferrous Operations.
Ron has worked at several leading Canadian steel making companies during his 30-plus year career. Ron began at Ivaco Rolling Mills ultimately being on the steel casting management team. From there, Ron became the Melt Shop Superintendent for Gerdau's first North American facility. Ron moved to scrap supply in 2007 and as Director of Operations, he was involved in managing yard integration, capital projects, scrap utilization & optimization for Triple M Metal's customers. Ron's unique experience having been a direct consumer of scrap helps position Triple M Metal as a leading steelmaking supplier with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
Bob LeBlond is responsible for the non-ferrous operations across all facilities within Triple M Metal LP. Having forty years of experience in the metal recycling industry, Bob brings a strong knowledge of non-ferrous grades and business operations. Since joining the company in 2000, Bob has overseen many of the company's busiest divisions and has been instrumental in strengthening operational efficiencies and driving divisional success by being a proponent of a strong team approach.
